LIVING INSIDE PRAYER

Living inside prayer is being in a constant state of gratitude and service. When we realize all that we have is a gift and that all we give comes back to us ten fold, we are on our way to living inside the protective supportive power of our awesome Creator. When we are in a constant state of gratitude we are always thanking the Lord for what we are given, this is prayer in its highest form. And you can do this all day long.

Prayer changes your vibration. It changes the environment. It changes all who are touched by it. It can change anger into love, fear into hope. It brings calm, order and a deep sense of peace even in the midst of chaos. When we pray we are tuned into our higher power. In this place we can realize and demonstrate the forces of good. Prayer is a powerful tool that we can use to change our circumstances and the world. When you take the step into prayer you travel beyond human barriers. We don’t pray for things or our will to be done. We pray for more love to be expressed through us.

We get the idea we can find God in churches, temples and houses of worship. This is just the house that the celebration is held in. God is everywhere and you are the Holy vessel that is filled by a Divine, all powerful, all loving presence. God is in the mountains, in the city side walks, in the person you do not like, the government official you can’t stand. So send them love, forgive them for things you don’t agree with. Realize, even with the many faults that you see, they are just like us. They have the same needs and desires, the same human heart.

A prayerful life includes developing our spiritual qualities by practicing the spiritual perfections of forgiveness, acceptance, gratitude and love. When we go to the Lord we want no obstructions to the Divine flow of the love of God. Resentments, hatefulness, bigotry and violence of any kind, are like poison thorns stuck in our heart destroying us from within. They harden our heart and form a hard shell around us. They separate us from God.

We can use prayer as a powerful spiritual medicine to cleanse us of these impurities that block the grace of God. The first thing to do when we realize we are harboring these characteristics is to pray. Ask God to be released from these killers of the spirit. Once we clear our inner life of character flaws that don’t serve us, our minds are in line with right thinking; then we can do the work in the outer world.

Doubt, fear, limitations, are not in God’s dictionary. There is the bible story of Jesus waking on water in a terrible storm. He calmed the turbulent sea. Peter, one of his disciples wanted to walk on the water as did Jesus. Jesus held out his hand and said come and Peter went. He was fine until he looked around and saw what the world said he could not do. Then he looked at the raging sea and started to shake, as he felt fear. Doubt made him lose his balance. He looked up again and Jesus said keep your eye on me and I will bring you into the boat. As soon as Peter took his eyes away form doubt, fear and limitations, he re-balanced and was able to walk to the boat. When you pull your eyes and ears away form the source of all knowing, you are in harms way. Look first to God in all your affairs, let go of negative thinking, doubts, and belief in limitations. Silently open your heart to the wisdom that will pour forth, filling you beyond anything you could have imagined. When you live inside prayer anything is possible

God Bless and give forth……………………………..
