GETTING THROUGH MENOPAUSE NATURALLY

Menopause is a natural change that all women go through. It is the same as when you first started to menstruate. Your body was changing. You were not sick. What did your mother and other older women tell you? They would tell you what to expect and all the simple remedies to help the maladies that come with this change. they would commiserate with you and tell you that this was part of being a woman.

During menopause you are changing in all directions. Things that were important to you just don't do it anymore. You have bodily changes, emotional changes and you start to reevaluate your life purpose. This can be confusing. Remember, however, it also can be a new beginning. Some women dread this time and some women welcome it.

You can make your own blueprint for change that includes life style changes that will keep you beautiful, healthy, interesting and passionate forever. Starting a Yoga program will definitely keep your bones hard and strong and your body toned and tight. Your posture will improve, your stature and walk will become elegant and self-confident. Your balance and stamina will improve and you will become poised, centered and in control of yourself. Yoga is a life-long practice that you will be able to do well into your 90's and beyond. People who practice Yoga remain youthful and vital no matter what age. Another life style change you could consider is changing your diet to a vegetarian base with fruits and vegetables as your biggest intake and meats and dairy products as your side dishes. This will give you more energy, keep the weight down and also contributes to strong bones.

If we believe everything we see and hear about menopause we would be in deep trouble. We have been sold a bill of goods by the advertising campaigns of pharmaceutical companies. We are told we have "symptoms," not just changes and signs. You must take an active role in your health care. Do not be swayed by what society and the pharmaceutical industry tells you. Take charge! Examine your lifestyle! Is it fertile ground for optimum health. Are you physically active"? Do you eat life-giving foods? Have you adopted a consistent preventive maintenance program? Develop a change in attitude. Make adjustment in your life or you can choose not to. Remember, every cell in your body responds to joy. Dare to be happy and emerge vibrant and radiant with new goals and aspirations. Whatever you do don't act your age. Don't limit yourself to an old life style. Consider the possibilities. Remember it's your choice.

Balancing your Chi, (life force) can be done in a natural gentle fashion. Designing a total life plan will lay the ground work for a healthy life style. You must take an active part in your health care. You have to invest your time and energy. Hormone replacement therapy is no substitute for living a healthy daily life. In fact it has it's side effects and dangers that should be considered. Decide to be courageous and take charge of your life. Before you go on medication for life. Discover your natural rhythm and balance it with simple remedies and a wholesome life style.
