HEALING YOUR HEART

Our heart represent love. It is the center from which all unconditional love emanates. We always extend love from our hearts. Healing your heart and keeping a healthy one involves a holistic approach. The bible tells us to "Be as little children" with an open, soft and trusting heart; to lay down our adult cold stone-like hearts. Only then can we enter the kingdom of heaven. We can all have a change of heart at any time in our physical journey and change our lives and hearts for the better.

There is the physical heart that pumps hundreds of gallons of blood through our veins and arteries and feeds our organs, keeping us alive. And there is the spiritual heart, our soul's heart, that is affected by harshness and nourished by love. In order to stay healthy we must treat all sides of us. In Japan they call the heart the Supreme Ruler. All avenues of support lead to and away from the The Supreme Ruler. The beat of the heart, once set in motion, is sustained by an electrical energy. There are positive and negative energies that are meant to keep us healthy and in perfect balance.

Keeping the energies of our body in perfect balance is the way to true health. There are several ways to keep our physical hearts in good working order. Looking at our diet: Is it balanced and light on the fats? Do you feel overstuffed a lot? The best diet for your heart is mostly raw fruit and vegetables and grains with meat; fats, the smaller part. We keep a smooth running heart by consistent, sane exercise. Yoga is one of the best disciplines for you to put into your life. It not only takes the physical body into consideration, it also de-stresses and centers you emotionally. During a simple Yoga routine you will massage and stimulate every organ in your body, strengthen your bones, tone your muscles and improve your posture so that your body is free of any impingement's. You will also stimulate and balance your entire nervous and glandular systems. No matter how old you are or what shape you are in you can learn and practice Yoga. The nervous system, as well as all our other working parts, are always communicating to your heart. So learning this life-time practice and bringing it into you daily life will help keep your heart healthy and whole.

Yoga will bring your body's energies into balance by addressing deficiencies and excesses in the electrical energy system of the body and bringing your physical and emotional energies into balance. You will acquire a deep sense of peace. This inner peace transcends your daily life. You remain calm, centered and free within your own body. Honor and respect your body by taking care of it. Feed it the freshest best foods in moderate portions, exercise every day and begin to express and feel love.

The spiritual heart, the heart of the soul, must be treated as well as the physical heart. We come into this world with our own individual spiritual energy. Oriental medicine calls this Shen energy. When the Shen energy is disturbed the physical health of the organs is stressed. Fear, hurt and anger close the energies of the heart. With every horrible headline, every act of violence and abuse we close down a little bit more. With each resentment and anger we harden our hearts. With each unforgiving attitude our hearts become colder and more unfeeling. There are steps you can take to keep your emotional and spiritual heart in great shape. Meditation and prayer will help you keep an open receptive heart. Practicing gratitude for the beauty and wonder of life will keep your heart youthful and expectant. Developing attitudes and traits of tenderness, affection, generosity and kindness will keep your heart warm. Self love as well as expressing love will keep your heart filled with joy. Extending kindness to others will open your heart and help you develop an inner attitude to love. When you are not loving to yourself your heart takes a hit.

As you can see, we are made of layers and layers of consciousness. Our bodies have memories. Our ideas and convictions manifest into our bodies. As we change our consciousness and open our hearts we become healthy and our lives and relationships to others and our environment become better and better. Reversing heart disease and keeping an already healthy heart is possible. Maintaining a healthy heart and body is not just a physical job. We must go deeper to the very root of our thoughts and actions. Opening your heart and letting love flow through into all your encounters with others will help keep a healthy heart and a healing environment for you to live in. Speak and act with a heart filled with love and it will come back to you ten-fold. Always let the spirit of love come through your heart and guide you to whatever your heart desires.

The quality of your consciousness has positive and negative effects on your health. All proper healing begins first with healing the spirit. Do you need a change of heart? Treating the spirit, Honoring and loving yourself, and engaging in nourishing positive relationships have quite an impact on the health of your heart. If you need your heart to be healthy, or your life to change, you need to create a different road. Start incorporating new lifestyle changes, begin to follow your heart's desire, let go of angers and resentments and fill your heart with love as often as possible.
